Dick Van Dyke has a good Samaritan to thank for rescuing him after his Jaguar exploded in flames on a Los Angeles freeway Monday afternoon. A passing driver who saw the smoking car and an elderly man at the wheel pulled the driver out of the vehicle only to discover it was the venerable 87-year-old actor. “He was gone before I had a chance to calm down,” Van Dyke told TMZ. The engine was engulfed in flames soon after. Van Dyke didn’t require medical attention, and his wife came to pick him up at the scene. “Someone’s looking after me,” he said.
