Fans of Oprah Winfrey’s voiceover work on Discovery’s Life may soon be able to listen to another famous woman describe mating rituals without even having to change the channel: Discovery is leading in the bidding for Sarah Palin’s Alaska, says The Hollywood Reporter. With a reported asking price of $1.2 million per episode, the show would become one of the most expensive nature series ever produced, rivaling the stunning 11-part BBC series, Planet Earth, which set the a record for documentaries with $25 million.
