Disney confirmed Tuesday it will remove a bronze statue of disgraced comedian Bill Cosby from Walt Disney World’s Hollywood Studios following revelations that Cosby testified in a 2005 sexual-abuse lawsuit that he had drugged women before having sex with them. Local resident Brittany Gavrilova, whose aunt is one of the alleged victims, petitioned for the statue’s removal seven months ago. More than 250 supporters have signed the petition. Disney officials said the bust will be removed from the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Hall of Fame Plaza after the park closes for the day.
