Focus on the Family chairmen steps down after over 30 years.

Is this a further sign of conservatism’s decline or the first step in its redemption? Focus on the Family founder James Dobson has stepped down as the chairman of the organization. He will not, however, disappear: He will continue to host his radio show and write a newsletter. His resignation, he said, “lessens his administrative burden.” He began relinquishing control six years ago when he stepped down as president and CEO.
