A staff member at the Yorkville Endoscopy clinic reportedly told investigators that Joan Rivers’ personal ear, nose, and throat doctor took a selfie while the comedian was under anesthesia just before performing a biopsy on her vocal cords. According to the source, the biopsy was done without her consent, and the specialist was not cleared by the clinic. The state of New York is investigating the clinic.
