Another encouraging word from the medical team working to save Rep. Gabrielle Giffords: Her doctor said Monday morning that she is "holding her own," and that CT scans show swelling in her brain is not getting any worse. "We are more and more encouraged," Dr. Michael Lemole, one of her physicians, said Monday on Good Morning America. Doctors said Sunday that the bullet passing through only one side of Giffords' brain and her early responses made them hopeful that she will survive and possibly even recover. Giffords is currently in a critical period where the risk of brain swelling and infection are high, but she seems likely to make it through.
