Famed sideline sports reporter Craig Sager revealed Tuesday night that he has acute myeloid leukemia, an aggressive form of cancer. During an interview with HBO’s Real Sports, the TNT and TBS personality—beloved for his garish on-air attire and quick wit—said doctors told him he could only have three to six months left to live. In a Wednesday morning statement, however, Sager declared that he intends to fight the disease and that the poor prognosis is usually for those not undergoing treatment. “I remain fully confident I will win this battle,” he wrote.
