A man jumped the White House fence late Wednesday, but the Secret Service apprehended the intruder before he came close to the residence. “An individual jumped the north fence of the White House. He was immediately taken into custody by canine units and Uniformed Division officers,” said Secret Service spokesman Edwin Donovan. He also said no shots were fired. A video posted on Fox News appears to show the jumper kicking a dog. Law-enforcement officials said the jumper was sent to a hospital to be treated for dog bites.
