A 4-year-old girl in central Alabama died Wednesday after dogs mauled her while she was playing outside. "Her grandfather went out to check on her and spotted a large dog standing over her. There may have been other dogs involved in the attack. He yelled at the dog and it ran off," said Tallassee Police Chief Jimmy Rodgers. The girl's name has not been released, but police have identified the owner of the dog and may charge him.
