The Department of Justice is looking into the Irving Police Department’s September arrest of 14-year-old Ahmed Mohamed after he brought a homemade clock to his Texas school. “We have, as you may know, opened an investigation into the case of the young man in Irving,” Attorney General Loretta Lynch said Thursday. “So we will see where that investigation goes.” Mohamed’s family threatened to sue the district, and subsequently moved to Qatar.
