A British couple whose son was born prematurely during a Christmas visit to New York is now stranded in the U.S. with a medical bill totaling over $200,000. Katie Amos, 30, and Lee Johnston, 29, welcomed son Dax at Lenox Hill Hospital in Manhattan. The boy was born weighing only 3 lbs; doctors have warned the couple not to fly back home to Lincolnshire until March 10. Friends and family have set up a fundraising web page to help the couple—who they say “have no money, no clothes, no friends or family or a familiar face to just say hello to”—through the next three months.
