$219M Awarded in Terrorism Case

PAY UP

Against two Palestinian groups.

Two Palestinian groups accused of knowingly supporting six terrorist attacks in Israel that killed Americans were ordered to pay $218.5 million in damages by a Manhattan jury on Monday. Since the case was brought under a special terrorism law, the Palestinian Authority and the Palestine Liberation Organization will have to pay triple the amount for a total of $655.5 million. The attacks in Jerusalem, which killed a total of 33 people, took place between 2002 and 2004.
