Don Bivens has given up his bid for the U.S. Senate, making room for fellow Arizona Democrat Richard Carmona. "While I am confident we could win this primary, the cost and impact on the Party I've spent my life fighting for could diminish our chance to achieve the ultimate goal: winning in November," Bivens said in a press release. Carmona, the former U.S. Surgeon General, thanked Bivens for sacrificing his own political ambitions for the good of the party.
