Donald Sterling, former owner of the Los Angeles Clippers, has settled a lawsuit with the NBA over his 2014 sale of the team. Former Microsoft chief executive Steve Ballmer purchased the team for $2 billion after Sterling was forced to sell it when the NBA gave him a lifetime ban for his racially insensitive remarks that were unearthed by TMZ. “Donald is pleased with the outcome and is looking forward to focusing on future endeavors,” Sterling’s attorney told The Los Angeles Times. In March, a federal judge threw out a lawsuit Sterling filed against the league and its commissioner, Adam Silver, calling it “plainly insufficient” and “clearly implausible.”
