Donald Trump Jr. took to Twitter Wednesday to proudly proclaim that Ford had canceled a $1.6 billion plant in Mexico and added 700 jobs in Michigan, seemingly unaware of the fact that the news was from January 2017, when Barack Obama was still in office. “Ford Cancels a $1.6 Billion Mexico Plant and Adds 700 Jobs in Michigan,” Trump Jr. tweeted, linking to a Fortune article from January 3, 2017. The tweet was likely an attempt to support his father after months of turbulent markets and growing fears of a recession.
