Dorothy’s ruby slippers, which were worn by Judy Garland in 1939’s The Wizard of Oz, have been recovered after they were stolen from a museum in Minnesota 13 years ago. The iconic shoes, which are made of sequins, red glass beads, silk thread, gelatin, wood pulp, and plastic, were taken from the Judy Garland Museum in Grand Rapids in August 2005. Four pairs of ruby slippers were worn by Garland in the movie; the museum’s slippers were insured for $1 million.
