Dow Closes Up 669 Points for Best Single-Day Gain Since 2008
UP AND UP
The Dow Jones Industrials gained 669 points, or 2.8 percent, on Monday, its largest single-day gain since 2008. The markets tanked last week over fears about President Donald Trump’s newly announced tariffs targeting China, but those anxieties were calmed on Monday as it was revealed that the U.S. and China are negotiating over the matter. Monday’s gains only erased half of last week’s losses.
