Those slightly bored by the leveling off of the rollercoaster economy in recent days, can take heart. The ride's back on! The Dow Jones lost 220 points within minutes of its opening this morning, and has declined so far by 3.5 percent. In Japan, Nikkei index lost 7 percent, while the South Korean and Hong Kong markets each lost over 5 percent. Japan's large banks were particularly hard hit while electronic companies like Sony and Panasonic also tumbled. European markets were also down, though not nearly as dramatically.
