Robert Downey Jr. arrives at Guy Ritchie’s London pub, the Punch Bowl, dressed to kill and carrying hand-sanitizer. In the April issue of Men’s Vogue, Sophie Dahl describes her close encounter with the actor. Thankfully, “he is still Iron Man buff,” she writes. And he’s self-deprecating to boot, a quality Dahl says “doesn’t quite fly.” And despite sobriety, Downey is at the top of his game, carefully avoiding unsavory topics. “Downey skirts around the topic of incarceration like a tired shadow boxer, deflecting it with weary humor and a liberal sprinkling of piss and vinegar," Dahl writes.
