That’s Professor Dre, to you. Dr. Dre and music mogul Jimmy Iovine gave $70 million to USC for a four-year music and business academy. It will be called the USC Jimmy Iovine and Andre Young Academy for Arts, Technology and the Business of Innovation, and will open in 2014 with a first class of 25 students. (Andrew Young is Dre’s given name.) Dre and Iovine, who founded Interscope, worked together on Dre’s Beats headphones, which now makes up more than half the market for high-end headphones.
