Dr. Luke Drags Lady Gaga Into Kesha Battle

Claims Gaga besmirched him in the press.

The seemingly unending legal battle between pop singer Kesha and her former producer Lukasz “Dr. Luke” Gottwald now officially involves Lady Gaga. For nearly three years, the pair have battled it out in court over Dr. Luke’s claim that Kesha defamed him; and her allegations of sexual abuse in return. In a new court filing, Pitchfork reported on Tuesday, Dr. Luke claimed that Kesha texted Lady Gaga last year asserting that the mega-producer had raped her and another female musician. “Kesha’s assertions to Lady Gaga were completely false,” the complaint stated, adding: “Since this text message conversation, Lady Gaga has spread negative messages about Gottwald in the press... [and] has gone so far as to suggest... that she possesses secret information regarding Gottwald that is damaging to him. [Her] statements during this radio interview were thereafter repeated and spread widely by many international media outlets.”
