Emergency workers responding to a car crash on the New Jersey turnpike over the weekend say that TV personality Dr. Mehmet Oz helped them treat two people involved in the crash. Officials say he stopped his car and ran out to help two people injured in the single-car crash before an emergency services crew arrived. “He was very helpful and very thorough, a lot of help to our crew,” Westampton Chief Jason Carty said. “It obviously was a surprise for them to get on scene and see a TV celebrity helping out the injured people.” Both victims were taken to a hospital and treated for minor injuries.
