The driver of an SUV has been charged after running down a Muslim teenager in a possible hate crime. 15-year-old Abdisamad Sheikh-Hussein was killed outside a Somali community center in Kansas City, Missouri by Ahmed H. Aden, 34. A witness reports seeing the boy “fly through the air” before Aden’s SUV ran him over. His legs were almost severed and the boy later died at a hospital. Worshipers at the Somali center say they saw a black SUV with threatening messages painted on it cruising around the area in the weeks during the crash. One message, according to a 13-year-old witness, said, “Islam is worse than Ebola.”
