Another strike against embattled Manhattan DA Cyrus Vance: The attorney for the hotel maid accusing Dominique Strauss-Kahn of sexual assault is asking that he step down from the case and appoint a special prosecutor. The maid’s lawyer, Kenneth Thompson, wrote in a letter that Vance had leaked libelous information about his client. Earlier Wednesday, lawyers for Strauss-Kahn met with Vance’s prosecution team, but declined to offer any details on the discussions.
