Thousands of customers are expected to leave the domain hosting site GoDaddy.com after it showed support for a bill restricting sharing online. “Dump Go Daddy Day” is a reaction to the company’s endorsement of the Stop Online Piracy Act, or SOPA, that would hold websites like Facebook and imgur.com responsible for illegal content users post. Though GoDaddy.com pulled back its support for SOPA after thousands of users called for a boycott, the damage has already been done.
