A terminally-ill Star Wars fan was granted his dying wish to see the upcoming film The Force Awakens, his wife said on Thursday. Texas native Daniel Fleetwood was diagnosed with spindle cell sarcoma, a rare connective tissue cancer, and was given two months to live on Sep 2. Though the 32-year-old exceeded doctors' expectations, he and his wife launched an online campaign grant his dying wish to see the film, which hits theaters on Dec. 18. Director J.J. Abrams called the couple on Wednesday to share the news and a Lucasfilm spokesperson confirmed the screening. "All involved were happy to be able to make it happen," Lucasfilm said.
