NOT COOL

Saquon Barkley said he didn’t understand why Swift got booed during the Super Bowl when she’s made “the game bigger.”

Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley denounced all the haters who booed Taylor Swift during the Super Bowl LIX on Sunday. “I remember that they showed her on the jumbotron and she got booed. I don’t get it. I don’t get why she was getting hate there,” Barkley told Howard Stern in a Wednesday episode of The Howard Stern Show. “She’s there supporting her significant other and she’s made the game bigger,” he continued, referring to the media attention Swift and Travis Kelce’s relationship has managed to draw toward the NFL. “We’re trying to expand the game and her being a part of it’s only helping that, so I don’t get the slack that she’s getting.” The pop star was booed during Sunday’s game, much to the delight of President Donald Trump, after being shown on the jumbotron alongside other celebrities like Paul Rudd and Adam Sandler. The evening was comparably different to Swift’s Super Bowl rendezvous last year, with Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs losing to the Eagles in a 22-40 score.
