While the newer Echo Dots are sleeker and feature a fabric exterior and slightly better speaker, the original design is still great (though, if you're set on the new Echo, it's also on sale for $29.99). At $20, you can add one to your bedroom so you never have to reach over and turn the lights out, or to your bathroom to listen to music in the shower.
