Egyptian President Abdel Fatta el-Sisi has pardoned two of the three Al Jazeera journalists who were sentenced to three years in prison by an Egyptian court for allegedly broadcasting false news. Canadian Mohammed Fahmy and Egyptian Baher Mohamed, who were accused of collaborating with the Muslim Brotherhood, were on a list of 100 prisoners set to be released. The third journalist, Australian Peter Greste, did not appear to be on the list. No reason was given for the pardons but they come a day before Sisi travels to New York City to meet with the United Nations General Assembly.
