Tensions continue to rise following Palestinian militants' deadly attack on Israeli buses launched from Egyptian soil on Thursday. Egypt says it will withdraw its ambassador from Israel after Israeli soldiers reportedly chased suspected militants across the border, shooting and killing a number of people, including five Egyptian policemen. Cairo says it regards the killing as a breach of the 1979 peace treaty. Israel blamed Egypt for not keeping its border secure after gunmen attacked busses near the Israeli resort town of Eilat, killing eight people.
