As the political crisis in Egypt continues, the new government continues to work at resolving it. On Saturday night, Army chief Abdel Fattah al-Sisi met with several leaders of Islamist movements in order to push along the political process. Although the collection of movements includes the powerful Muslim Brotherhood, no Brotherhood representative was at the meeting. It is suspected that the group is waiting to be granted concessions before meeting with officials. Islamist groups have held protests since Islamist President Mohamed Morsi was ousted in early July.
