The Eiffel Tower and the surrounding Champ de Mars were evacuated following a bomb scared at 9 p.m. local time. About 25,000 people were in the area and were moved to the banks of the River Seine. Police with dogs carried out a search of the area, but didn't find anything suspicious. A second popular tourist spot, Saint-Michel subway stop near the Notre Dame Cathedral, was also evacuated.
