Eight people, including a 1-year-old boy, were shot in the parking lot of an Oakland liquor store Monday night where local rapper Kafani was believed to have been shooting a music video. A van with the rapper’s picture on it was in the lot; however, Kafani tweeted, “News Reports Wrong I did not shoot a video today.” As of Tuesday the boy was in critical condition, as was one of the adults. No arrests have been made, and the motive for the shooting remains unknown.
