The main suspect in one of the country’s most horrific recent crimes has apparently confessed. Jerome Isaac turned himself in Sunday after he was wanted for allegedly spraying a woman with flame accelerant in an elevator and then lighting her on fire. Police say Isaac, whose face was burned and was “reeking of gasoline,” admitted to killing Delores Gillespie, who had apparently employed him as a worker but refused to pay him after she caught him stealing. Police say they have also recovered some equipment from Isaac’s apartment.
