It was only a matter of time. Conservative commentator Elisabeth Hasselbeck is leaving The View’s couch for a more like-minded set. The controversial pundit is joining the morning show Fox and Friends in September. “Elisabeth’s warm and engaging personality made her a star on The View," Fox CEO Roger Ailes said as he announced Hasselbeck’s addition to his roster of foxy ladies. “She has proven to be an excellent conversationalist, and I am certain she will make a great addition to our already successful morning franchise.” The show’s current blonde, former Miss America Gretchen Carlson, will anchor a one-hour daytime program.
