ABC 20/20 co-anchor Elizabeth Vargas has returned to rehab for alcoholism, following an initial stint in November 2013. Vargas, 51, said in a statement: “While on vacation this weekend, I decided to return to a recovery center. As so many other recovering alcoholics know, overcoming the disease can be a long and incredibly difficult process.” Vargas came clean with her alcohol addiction in January, saying on Good Morning America that “I am an alcoholic. It took me a long time to admit that to myself. It took me a long time to admit it to my family, but I am.” She also said during that interview, “I have great, great friends who I love and who love me. Alcohol for me is no longer an option.”
