Crime novelist Elmore Leonard is recovering from a stroke, his longtime researcher Greg Sutter confirmed on Monday. Leonard, 87, is currently hospitalized in Detroit, his longtime home city. Originally writing Westerns, Leonard found his stride with crime fiction as well as screenwriting.
