Elton John and James Corden Belt Out Carpool Karaoke

        BESTIES

James Corden and Elton John = a match made in heaven.

During James Corden’s special post-Super Bowl 50 special, Elton John became the latest musical superstar to have the Late Late Show’s “Carpool Karaoke” experience.

The pair started with “Your Song” from 1970. “God, this is amazing,” John said he thought when he first wrote the song, calling it a “huge step forward” in his career. Because he was stuck behind his piano and was never a frontman “sex symbol” like Mick Jagger or David Bowie, John told Corden he decided to use extravagant costumes to stand out.

After singing “Crocodile Rock,” the singer admitted to Corden that he does not own a cell phone. When the host suggested that he could kidnap the singer and he would have no way to reach the outside world, John said he might be OK with that. A few moments later, following a rousing rendition of “Tiny Dancer,” he referred to his fellow Brit as “my future husband.”

“If I could tell my 12-year-old self I would be doing this, his head would explode,” a clearly ecstatic Corden remarked at the end of their memorable drive together.
