Los Angeles County officials have charged a man with the murder of a 9-year-old girl whose body was found stuffed inside a duffel bag last week. Emiel Lamar Hunt, 39, was charged Tuesday in the death of Trinity Love Jones. Jones’ body was found near an equestrian trail in Southern California on March 5. The girl’s head and upper body were protruding from the partially zipped bag when it was found, police said. Authorities believe Hunt killed Jones around March 1, the L.A. County District Attorney’s Office said. Officials have not released a possible motive. Hunt is reportedly the boyfriend of Jones’ mother. In court, Antonio Jones, Trinity’s father, reportedly stood up and shouted at Hunt: “You killed my daughter!” Hunt’s bail was set at $2 million. If convicted of murder Hunt could face up to life in prison.
