Eni SpA, an Italian energy company, announced Sunday that it had discovered a natural gas field off Egypt in the Mediterranean Sea that was the largest ever discovered there. The field, which is deep underwater, could hold 30 trillion cubic feet of gas. It could be one of the world's largest natural gas resources.
