ESPN made history Monday by promoting the editor of espnW, Alison Overholt, to editor in chief of ESPN The Magazine. Overholt will be the first woman editor of a major American sports magazine. The magazine had an average monthly audience of 94.8 million consumers last year. Overholt succeeds Chad Millman, who will move to vice president and editorial director of domestic digital content.
