ESPN Sues Verizon for Bundling Channels

Says it's a breach of contract.

ESPN sued Verizon over the company's new cable TV package on Monday. According to ESPN, Verizon breached its contract with a system unveiled on April 19 that bundles channels into smaller groupings based on theme. NBCUniversal and 21st Century Fox have also said that the new package violates their contracts, but Verizon isn't letting go. “Consumers have spoken loud and clear that they want choice, and the industry should be focused on giving consumers what they want,” said a Verizon spokeswoman. “We are well within our rights under our agreements to offer our customers these choices.“
