No good deed goes unpunished. The EU is now telling the U.K. it must pay an extra $2.6 billion towards the EU’s budget because its economy has done better than expected in recent years. The increase represents about a fifth of what the U.K. already contributes. The demand from the EU has led to outrage from British politicians. British Prime Minister David Cameron has called the demand "completely unacceptable" and will not pay it.
