Everyone's a Madoff

Madoff may be the fall man, but the global economic crisis is the fault of many people who didn't break the law. A USA Today op-ed cites the U.S. criminal code’s oversights—such as not penalizing for blatant incompetence—as part of the reason for all this financial irresponsibility. And while Madoff deserves to spend the rest of his life behind bars, USA Today writes, “…The nation will never rebuild faith in its financial institutions by focusing only on the criminals.”
