Better late than never. Nearly three decades after the car accident that killed former Brazilian President Juscelino Kubitschek, an inquiry into his death has found he was murdered by the ruling military regime. The Truth Commission of Sao Paulo reversed a former conclusion that Kubitschek's 1976 crash was an accident, saying in a report that the former head of state "was the victim of a conspiracy and a political crime." The findings will be sent to the Brazilian government, which is investigating the 1964 to 1985 military dictatorship's rights abuses.
