Ex-Classmate: Mateen Threatened to Shoot Up School
Claims a former classmate.
Reuters
Former classmates of Omar Mateen claim the Orlando mass shooter was a schoolyard bully who once threatened to bring a gun to school and "kill everyone he didn't like." At the time, says Leslie Hall, Mateen was just in fifth grade. Additionally, one of Mateen's former teachers characterizes him as a violent bully who specifically targeted girls with insults. "He was very disrespectful," Hall told the New York Daily News. "He was spitting in teachers' faces."
