The former communications director for Mike Huckabee's presidential campaign has officially joined the Ted Cruz campaign, the Texas Tribune reported Monday. Alice Stewart departed the former Arkansas governor's flailing campaign on Dec. 14, amid low poll numbers, and has taken on a role as "senior advisor" with Cruz, who is currently ranked second among GOP candidates in most national polls.
