Bob Burns, the original drummer for rock group Lynyrd Skynyrd, has reportedly died in a car wreck in Georgia’s Bartow County, according to a Georgia State Patrol spokesperson. The single-vehicle crash took place Friday around four minutes before midnight, when Burns’s car “left the wayside of the roadway while approaching a right curve,” then “struck a mailbox and a tree with the front of the vehicle.” Burns, 64, was the only person in the car and was reportedly not wearing a seatbelt.
