Marat Mindiyarov, a former employee of the Russian troll farm Internet Research Agency, was reportedly arrested on Sunday. Mindiyarov, who had recently spoken with U.S.-based news publications about his work at the troll farm, told The Moscow Times that he was arrested for allegedly phoning in a false bomb alert to authorities. The Internet Research Agency was among the entities named Friday in special counsel Robert Mueller’s indictment, which accused Russians close to the Kremlin of launching sophisticated social media influence campaigns aimed at tilting the outcome of the 2016 election to Donald Trump.
