A Texas grand jury has indicted former USA Gymnastics President Steve Penny for alleged evidence tampering in the Larry Nassar sexual-assault investigation. Penny, who resigned in March 2017, was arrested by a fugitive task force in Tennessee on Wednesday, the AP reports, and he’ll be extradited to Texas. According to the indictment, Penny ordered Nassar-linked documents removed from the Karolyi Ranch in order to hinder the probe of Nassar. Penny faces two to 10 years in prison if convicted.
